The Bank of Scotland has published its latest report on the Scottish job market which conveyed a slight decrease in the growth rate of overall job demand.
Although demand for new staff did continue to rise in January, the increase was at a much slower rate than in past months.
The report suggested a harsh decline in available candidates last month. However, it also revealed a promising stat for the IT and computing market:
‘The strongest growth sector for permanent staff was IT and computing’.
This is good news for the industry as it shows that despite there being a slight dip in job demand, the IT industry is still growing despite this!
