Autumn 2014 sees highest number of post-recession jobs in UK
Adzuna's latest report in jobs shows more positive news for the UK economy. This autumn, the number of advertised jobs was at the highest level since the recession and a fairly incredible 27.5% increase year-on-year. They found 906,191 jobs advertised, from 710,859 in the same period last year.
The bad news, is the subsequent reduction in the number of applications per job. There were 1.02 jobseekers per vacancy compared with 1.06 in the previous period. To put this into context there was a 45.3% REDUCTION in the number of applications per job against the same period last year. Thirty (30) UK cities now boast more vacancies than jobseekers.
