Huawei have recently released some fascinating information as part of their Global Connectivity Index, showing the top 10 most "network-connected" countries in the world. The good news is that the UK has made it in at number three! Just behind the USA and Germany [no surprises there].
This appears at first glance to be a fairly comprehensive study where countries are awarded index score points based on 16 different factors such as broadband speed, connectivity, smartphone connections.
There are some real shocks in here:
6. South Korea
8. New Zealand
To emphasise the importance of this study, Huawei also found that for every point increased on their index, the GDP per capita of a country increases by 1.4% to 1.9%.
