Cathcart Energy are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer for offshore Wind projects around the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
The role will involve electrical engineering support during project development, construction and operation for substations. This electrical support is more specifically for grid connection and compliance. It will also involve design of LV/HV components and/or Network/SCADA systems and/or Auxiliary systems of offshore wind substations. Lastly, it involves QA/QC component inspections.
This role will primarily require a University degree (bachelor/masters) in Electrical Engineering or a similar field of study.
At least 4 years of experience is required, in the wind industry, renewable energy industry or substations engineering and construction in offshore wind. With experience of switching up to 150kV is required.
Specifically, you will need to have experience with fault finding, 3 phase systems and electrical systems maintenance. It is also important to have knowledge of the health and safety regulations. If you have experience with PLCs and control systems that will also strengthen your application.
You should have a flexible, motivated, team oriented and resilient attitude and are prepared to travel for short periods in European countries such as Belgium, Denmark and Germany.
You must be skilled in MS Office, including good MS Excel skills.
Offshore experience and/or training is a plus. Experience in managing small groups is also a plus.
You must be fluent in English and any other language is a plus.
