Mechanical Engineer - performance improvement on wind farms
Salary: £22 - £23 per annum
Mechanical Engineer for performance improvement work on wind farms.
As a mechanical engineer for a wind farm owner operator you will be responsible for directing the asset performance measuring activities using a number of methods including LIDAR and driving performance improvement and life extension solutions.
Working directly for the wind farm owners will give you a great deal of autonomy in your work but will also demand a flexible approach as you will need to support your colleagues on a wide range of issues and contribute in different aspects of the business including future due diligence work.
The suitable candidate will have direct experience of wind farm operations from a mechanical engineering standpoint and ideally knowledge of root cause analysis and failure investigations as well as lubrication, condition monitoring techniques and blade erosion issues.
You will need to have a degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as experience and a masters or higher level qualification will certainly aid your application.
On offer is a generous package including a strong benefit and bonus package.
The role will be primarily office based in Edinburgh and will involve some travel to sites all over the UK.
