IT Budgets to rise in 2013
Over three quarters of IT departments are expecting budgets to rise in 2013, including a third who expect them to rise by more than a 5%. Whilst the recession can’t be said to be “over”, the effects are certainly starting to wear off, with only 8% of departments expecting a reduction in spending, and 16% of respondents claiming their organisations were back up to pre-2008 levels.
Where is the extra money going to be spent? Security issues are paramount, with Data Protection projects being number one on list of priorities, followed by Server Virtualisation and Mobility.
